Terms of use

The agreement between you and us when you use Snapparty, in plain English.

1. What Snapparty does

Snapparty lets a host create an event and share a link or QR code. Guests use it to upload photos and videos from their phones to the host's private gallery. The host can approve, hide or delete uploads and decide which guests can see the whole gallery.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Guests don't need an account to upload.

3. Plans and payment

  • You pay once per event, through PayPal, before your event goes live. The price shown at checkout, in pounds sterling, is the total you pay. There's no subscription.
  • Each plan has limits on the number of uploads, how long uploads stay open (counted from your event date) and storage. When a limit is reached, guests can't upload more.
  • Downloading your designed QR card costs £2 unless your plan includes it. Printed cards cost 50p (standard) or 75p (laminated) each, minimum 10.
  • Promo codes are subject to the conditions they were issued with, and can't be exchanged for cash.

4. Your event and your guests' photos

As the host, you're responsible for how your event's gallery is used. In particular:

  • only share your link or QR code with people you want to upload. Anyone who has it can upload while uploads are open;
  • let guests know their photos go to you, and ask their permission before you publish their photos anywhere else;
  • take extra care with photos of children. We recommend switching on approval for events with children.

Guests keep the rights to the photos they take. By uploading, guests allow us to store them, make previews of them and show them to the host and to anyone the host shares the gallery with, only so we can provide the service.

5. What you mustn't do

Don't use Snapparty to upload or share anything that's illegal, that you don't have the right to share, or that's abusive, hateful or sexual content involving anyone under 18. Don't try to get into accounts or galleries that aren't yours, overload the service, or upload anything harmful such as malware. We may remove content and suspend events or accounts that break these rules, and we'll report illegal content where the law requires it.

6. Keeping the service running

We work to keep Snapparty available and your photos safe, but we can't promise the service will never be interrupted. Save copies of the photos that matter most to you.

7. If something goes wrong

If you're not happy with the service, email hello@snapparty.online and we'll try to put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
